MAKING ORIENTAL DESIGN RUGS

group pic of my rugs Here are a few of my Rugs before they were finished. I have been teaching Oriental Rug-Making in Connecticut for over 13 years. It's one of the most rewarding hobbies I have.
Me You work on your lap, no special equipment is required - you can take it anywhere and you don't need to be "crafty".
Anyone can do it!
Punching

You use the best quality 100% Wool, dyed and spun especially for making Oriental Rugs. You choose all your own colors so you get exactly what you want and no one will have a rug exactly like yours.
wool colors The designs are silk screened on the canvas and you simply punch the wool into each hole forming loops on the front. The loops are then cut to create a beautiful plush pile. No one will believe you made it.

The finished rugs are gorgeous, come and see... Sarouk
